Hardware Test Engineer:
Our Petone based client is a leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of quality electronic equipment for both the NZ and overseas markets.
They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Hardware Test Engineer to join their Petone based team.
The role is a key position and requires someone with sound experience in a test development environment.
Key Duties Include:
- Developing test strategies for new and existing products.
- Producing proposals to support test system business cases.
- Supporting the Test Engineering team in planning test system projects.
- Developing tender documents.
- Mentoring the Test Engineering team to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Developing and maintaining software for test systems.
- Analysing test data.
- Assisting in fault finding.
- Maintaining strong relationships with R&D Group Leaders, contract manufacturers and other departments.
Essential Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, or comparative experience in a test engineering position.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of National Instruments LabView/Test Stand.
- JTAG - Boundary scan experience.
- Solid knowledge of test methodologies.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite - especially Word and Excel.
- Database knowledge - SQL Server ideally.
Desirable Experience:
- Some exposure to industrial wireless communication systems, telecoms and microwave radio and telemetry communications in particular.
