ISRAEL - Processing Delays Expected for Work Permits
Jan. 25, 2013 - Officials at the Israeli Ministry of Interior are advising employers with foreign workers to expect lengthy processing delays for work permit applications. The delays are due to changes in government following the recent election, and also due to a significant backlog of cases at the Work Permit Unit of the Ministry of Interior.
BAL recommends that clients submit applications for work permits a minimum of four months before his or her start date, or the expiration of his or her current work visa.
